Submitting Internships and/or Co-ops
The Difference between Internships and Co-ops
An internship can be as many hours as the employer chooses. Internships do not count as college credit for our students, whether paid or unpaid. Internships merely provide experience for our students and graduates.
Co-ops consist of the student working (at no cost to the employer) for 12 hours each week for 10 weeks. These students do receive course credit for completing the co-op. There is an internal process for choosing co-op candidates from our student body. This allows only motivated, dedicated students the opportunity to participate in the co-op program.
- Internships
Internships, whether paid or unpaid, play an important role to our students. It gives them experience in their field, and preparing them for their career. Internship hours are determined by the employer. Whether the internship is paid or unpaid is determined by the employer. Students do not receive college credit for participating in an internship program, and the selection process of applicants is conducted by the employer.

Students are limited, and may only work 12 hours per week for a 10 week span. Candidates for co-ops are selected internally first, guaranteeing that all applicants are motivated and dedicated students.
