Southwest Florida College prepares graphic design students for a successful career in both design and production through an emphasis on developing the student's capacity for critical thinking, and stimulating imagination and innovation.
Our hands-on design programs teach students how to unlock their creative
potential. Whether ones passion is graphic design, interior design, or computer
aided drafting and design, we have all the tools at our disposal to provide
real-world training and experience working with the materials and technologies
utilized by professionals in the field of study.
From the latest technologies to the latest techniques, every design program at
Southwest Florida College is focused on providing students with the knowledge
and skills needed to prepare for a career.
The critical skills of perception, interpretation, and inventiveness are fostered as well as an understanding of digital design business practices. Industry standard software applications are used while solving design problems, planning, and executing solutions.
The Student’s focus is to sharpen their ability to visually translate ideas of an intended message to a targeted audience.
Southwest Florida College is listening to employers! We have an advisory board for each one of our programs that is comprised of representatives from local leading businesses. We meet with our advisory boards on a regular basis to find out what employers expect from our graduates.
