The Early Childhood Care and Management program prepares students to work within learning
communities and maximize the potential for all learners. The program promotes collaborative learning
and critical reflection as a way to develop a community of life-long learners who respect diverse
perspectives, make informed decisions and are responsive to the changing needs of children in our
society.
The Early Childhood Care and Management diploma program also meets the education requirement for
students to earn the Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC). Additionally, the courses
completed in the diploma program can be transferred into the associate's or bachelor's Early Childhood
Education degree programs.
Southwest Florida College is listening to employers! We have an advisory board for each one of our programs that is comprised of representatives from local leading businesses. We meet with our advisory boards on a regular basis to find out what employers expect from our graduates. Below is a list of organizations that make up the Education program's advisory board.
