Certified by the National Association of Legal
Assistants (NALA)
We offer an associate's degree in Paralegal Studies
that is offered online and may be earned in as
little as eight quarters. Our paralegal program
is designed to provide the student intensive
legal training by encompassing a well-balanced
curriculum of legal studies, general education and
business skills.
The program provides a balance of legal theory and
practice. Students are involved in legal
research and writing, document preparation, trial
practice and general law office management. Upon
successful completion of the program, graduates
may pursue entry-level positions in public and
private law offices, banks, insurance companies,
real estate firms, or public agencies.
Southwest Florida College is listening to employers! We have an advisory board for each one of our programs that is comprised of representatives from local leading businesses. We meet with our advisory boards on a regular basis to find out what employers expect from our graduates. Below is a list of organizations that make up the Legal Studies program's advisory board.
