COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This course introduces the functions of business as a primary source of goods, services, employment, and income.  The course will also provide the students with a basic understanding of forms of ownership, ethics, laws, marketing, investments, and management functions.

The world of Business, where students will be working after graduation, is revealed as a gradual, exciting adventure.  Choose a business and monitor it from many angles throughout the progress of the course.

  • How is the Business owned?
      • Sole Proprietorship?  Who is the boss?
      • Partnership?  Do you trust your partners?
      • Corporation?  What kind?  There is more than one style.
  • How is the Business managed?
      • Who is the chief executive?
      • Who helps the CEO?  How?
