Southwest Florida College's Medical Billing and Coding program is designed to provide you with the training necessary to prepare you for a position as a medical records coder or employment in medical insurance billing departments within hospitals, medical facilities, private insurance billing firms and other medical support service organizations.

Southwest Florida College features a Diploma in Medical Billing and Coding that can be completed in less than two years of study. This degree will focus on fundamental medical courses, such as anatomy and medical terminology, as well as specialized courses like ICD-9-CM coding and pharmacology. Our diploma program in Medical Billing and Coding is available at both our Ft. Myers and Tampa campus locations and online for your convenience.
